Introducing CRAVERELIEF by Nuraleve!
Craverelief uses a revolutionary technique that can be used to create new neural pathways. It is a safe, effective, non-drug and non-invasive stimulation called Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS).
Nuraleve has developed the Craverelief service, applying tDCS to reduce cravings. Craverelief involves the delivery of a gentle electrical current to the brain via electrodes placed on the scalp. tDCS improves neuroplasticity in the area of the brain, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, an important region of the brain that is involved in cravings.
This technique engages some of the same systems (e.g. brain hormones like dopamine and glutamate) that are integral in the structural changes that are caused by craved substances.
Craverelief can modify brain function, increasing activity in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) a part of the brain that is involved in cravings. The Craverelief program is delivered over multiple, consecutive sessions resulting in a cumulative reduction in cravings with each session.
A 20% drop in cigarette cravings was reported on average after one session of tDCS. After 5 sessions, there were 62% less cigarette cravings reported in the active group compared to the sham group.
Repeated administration of tDCS has a cumulative effect on the reduction of cravings, including those in a cigarette smoker. The study looking at a single session of tDCS at Harvard Medical School showed tDCS to reduce cravings by 20%.
